Sister Paige Hines
Bishop Coles announces and congratulates Sister Paige Hines for her achievement in receiving the title of Miss Young Woman of Excellence (YWE) 2011 for the International Church Of God In Christ. Thanks to her parents, Jurisdictional Chief Adjutant Booker T. Hines, Jr. and Missionary Kimberly Hines, and the Youth Department leaders for their support and encouragement. He acknowledges the efforts of Elder Love and Chairlady Jackson, Elder Brown and District Chairlady Cunningham, and Elder Gray and Mother Taylor.
Paige Hines is a 20 year old Junior at St. Augustine College in North Carolina. She is a member of God Glorified COGIC where her pastor is Elder Joseph Gray and the Sherman Scott Howard District where her Superintendent is Superintendent Wayne Brooks.
Paige won the DC title of Miss Young Women of Excellence on July 2nd and won the National Miss Young Women of Excellence title on Thursday, July 8th at the In ternational AIM Convention in Houston, Texas.
We are godly proud of her!

MISS KANYSHA WILLIAMS!
Our very own Kanysha Williams, won the DC Capital Stars Talent competition held at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts! Yes, God Glorified is FULL of talented individuals! For her outstanding performance, Kanysha is the recipient of a $10,000 scholarship AND an additional $2,000 in prize money, making her total scholarship $12,000!!!! She's well on her way to a successful first year of college after high school graduation this year. Congratulations Kanysha on your accomplishment! Some of you may remember, last year another God Glorified youth, Danielle Hill won the SAME COMPETITION!!! Who will be the winner next yer?
The 2010 Gold Recipient of the ADDY Award
The DC Ad Club presented its 2010 ADDY Awards last evening at the Carnegie Institute in Washington, DC. For 42 years, the ADDY's have recognized creative excellence in advertising. The reception and awards presentation was attended by over 350 area advertising and media professionals.
There were 743 entries from 90 agencies, clients, individuals and students. A panel of eight judges was convened to review and score the entries based on creativity, originality and creative strategy.
Our very own Elayna Speight won GOLD in the student category for her Shoe4Africa Print Campaign. Elayna attends the Art Institute of Washington and has a desire to go into Advertising upon graduation. We are so proud of Elayna and are believing God for the doors that will be opened as a result of her award.
